    Introducing Le Cordon Bleu!
    For those seeking a career in the culinary arts, the Academy offers an intensive program of study leading to an Associate of Occupational Studies (AOS) Degree in Le Cordon Bleu – Culinary Arts. Rigorous and comprehensive, this 60-week program prepares a student for various positions at restaurants, hotels, culinary schools, private clubs, resorts, cruise lines, food magazines, and many other culinary related businesses. The Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Arts Program integrates classical and modern culinary techniques with strong kitchen management skills and emphasizes procedures as well as the evolution and diversity of the culinary arts. In addition to earning the Academy’s AOS Degree in Le Cordon Bleu – Culinary Arts, you will also receive the coveted Le Cordon Bleu Diplome, which can open doors to an enviable career or enhance a career already in progress.

    Culinary Programs

    Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Arts Program
    Beginning in August 2002, the Academy is proud to offer Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Arts Program. The prestigious curriculum of the world-renowned Le Cordon Bleu French cooking institute enhances the Academy’s already comprehensive and rigorous programs. This educational partnership gives Academy students the finest in North American and European culinary arts training available today.

    Baking and Pastry Arts Program
    The Academy offers an intensive program for those interested in professional baking and pastry. This 30-week Certificate Program includes a comprehensive study of baking and pastry to prepare a student for various positions at bakeries, pastry shops, restaurants, hotels, and the rapidly growing segment of in-store supermarket bakeries. The Baking and Pastry Arts Program emphasizes hands-on application of fundamental techniques.

    Le Cordon Bleu Hospitality & Restaurant Management Degree Program
    Picture yourself owning your own restaurant, managing a prestigious hotel, resort, or spa. Even working aboard a luxury cruise ship, running a catering company, or overseeing a casino. You’re not daydreaming. It is a career of possibilities, and it all begins with your training. The Academy’s Le Cordon Bleu Hospitality & Restaurant Management Degree Program offers a comprehensive course of study that combines sound managerial theory with practical hands-on training. This 10-month program provides a strong basis in management practices as well as basic culinary skills that will help graduates to achieve their goals in exciting hospitality and culinary careers.

    Admissions

    California Culinary Academy admits a wide range of students from around the world.     Financial Aid

    Every student needs a payment plan for his or her education, and we are committed to helping you in your financial planning. The Academy offers both federal and state financial aid to the eligible student. To apply for financial assistance, complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). We suggest filing the FAFSA at the time of enrollment. As a part of the enrollment process, each student will need to meet with a Student Financial Advisor following application for admission to the Academy.

    The Academy’s Student Finance Department has access to a variety of financial assistance programs, including, but not limited to, the following:

    • Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG)
    • Federal Stafford Loan (FSL)
    • Federal Parent Loan for Undergraduate Students (FPLUS)

    Career Services

    California Culinary Academy prides itself on not only educating culinary professionals but also helping them secure those important first jobs in some of the nation’s finest restaurants, hotels, resorts, cruise lines, food magazines, and other culinary related businesses. California Culinary Academy provides Career Services to our students and alumni throughout their careers. As students and graduates prepare for careers in the food service industry, a variety of resources and activities are available to help them develop knowledge of employment opportunities, enhance their marketability, and pursue their career goals. We offer individual sessions in career counseling, resume writing, and interview preparation.

    The Academy hosts Career Fairs and On-Campus Recruitment events to connect students with employers from different sectors of the hospitality industry. These programs are designed to allow students to speak directly with industry representatives and learn of the unique career paths and employment opportunities offered by their organizations. We also provide job opportunity postings, job hotline, job search handouts, catering and part-time job board, and other relevant industry information.
