SCI Culinary Programs
Scottsdale Culinary Institute has rapidly earned International fame with its superb educational format that focuses exclusively in the Culinary Arts. The Associate of Occupational Studies in Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Arts is an intensive program, completed in 15 months. It includes a three month externship at a national location of your choice. SCI is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology and the program is accredited by the American Culinary Federation Educational Institute Accrediting Commission. Chef-Instructors are outstanding and experienced in the industry. As full-time Instructors, they focus solely on your education.
In order to satisfy Le Cordon Bleu’s rigorous standards, the core of the Culinary curriculum at Scottsdale Culinary Institute is the hands-on teaching of cooking and baking skills as well as the theoretical knowledge that must underlie competency in both fields. It exposes students to the different styles and experiences of the School’s Chefs and Instructors, acquaints students with a wide variety of equipment, and prepares them for whatever area of the food service/hospitality industry they choose to enter. Additionally, courses covering subjects such as management, human resources, menu development, cost control, sanitation, nutrition and wines and spirits are taught. We feel our 15 month intensive degree program is taught in the amount of time necessary to adequately prepare students for a culinary career.
The class structure allows our Chefs to supervise and develop your skills with education that is hands-on. You experience real world conditions with L’Ecole and L’Academie Restaurants as your classroom. L’Ecole has received Mobil’s highest 3 Star student rating. Mentoring is available upon request. Honor students and those with perfect attendance are formally recognized. Graduates have obtained employment in restaurants, hotels, cruise ships, and other businesses around the world.
Financial planning is a process that many of our students utilize. Every student needs a plan for paying for their education. While some pay by cash, many students use financial aid to help with their college costs. The Scottsdale Culinary Institute has a friendly Financial Aid staff that is available to assist you through the financial aid application process.
Scottsdale Culinary Institute is part of the Career Education Corporation network. Career Education Corporation is pleased to make placement assistance available for our graduates and alumni. On-site agencies, with global access to candidates and job opportunities from our domestic and international sites, are located on many of our campuses and can aid in securing employment that is both exciting and rewarding.
